2 people arrested and charged following the shooting in Hartsville park, report

Hartsville, S. C. – Two people are arrested and charged by the Hartsville Police Department connected to the shooting that took place in Hartsville park.

According to police reports, the shooting happened on Wednesday at Byerly Park in Hartsville when one man was shot through a car door. The injured man was transferred to a hospital for treatment with non-life- threatening injuries.

The suspects were identified as Kenard Keshawyn Huggins and Carquivas Quashawn Mitchell. According to police, Huggins is charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits, while Mitchell is charged with accessory after the fact of a felony in relation to the arrest of Huggins.

Following the investigation, the suspects may face more charges, including attempted murder.
