LEXINGTON, South Carolina – The police was looking for the suspect from last June and after nine months on the run they finally arrested him.
The suspect is accused for shooting to death a man at a party and put in custody.
Keyshaun Muller, 20-year-old, is charged with charged with murder, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
“Muller has been on the run since we obtained arrest warrants on him last summer,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said, “Members of the U.S. Marshals Service’s Fugitive Task Force and officers from the Columbia Police Department located Muller Saturday morning in the Columbia area of Richland County. He was taken into custody without incident.”
According to the reports, the incident took place on June 25th, 2020 when Muller shot to death Trayon Newhouse following an argument with him in front of a house on Minolta Drive.
The investigation showed that the victim was not armed at the time of the incident and he did nothing to provoke the suspect. A child has also been injured during the incident.
The suspect is held in Lexington County Detention Center.
