At least two lanes closed on the eastbound side of the Interstate at Exit 211 near Aviation Avenue due to a crash

North Charleston, South Carolina – Drivers are advised to avoid Interstate 26 this morning if possible because at least two lanes are closed due to a crash.

According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation, a wreck that happened just before 9 a.m. prompted the responding crews to close at least two lanes on the eastbound side of the Interstate at Exit 211 near Aviation Avenue.

Exit 211 is currently blocked.

First responders responded to the scene. No more details are available at this time.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes because driving along Interstate 26 takes longer than usual.
