Berkeley County crash, one pedestrian dead

Berkeley County, South Carolina – Accident that took place in the roadway on U.S. 17A in Berkeley County results with one dead after a vehicle hit pedestrian.

As a result of the crash, the road was closed for extended period of time. The exact location of the crash is on U.S. 17A at Lazy Hill Road and occurred around 4:51 p.m., the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The man was in the roadway and died as a result of the collision when a Honda CR-V driving south struck the pedestrian.

The driver of the vehicle also sustained minor injuries and was transferred to local hospital for additional check.

The investigation is till open and until now no one is charged.
