The Hatterass

Carolina Marine Group provides harbor cruises of historical Charleston, SC. We leave from The City Marina in downtown Charleston. Here you will climb aboard a classic 1971 Hatteras that has been completely restored and updated with all new electronic and safety gear. As we pull out of the marina within a minute you will begin viewing the historic homes along Murray Blvd and the historic Battery. Get up close to the Ravenel Bridge and come along side of the USS Yorktown; pass by Shutes Folly Island and Castle Pinckney in the middle of the harbor. Did we forget to mention Dolphins? Yeah, lots and lots of dolphins fill the harbor. Finally, we pass by the historic Civil War fort, Fort Sumter on our way back to port.

The boat can accommodate up to 6 guests by Coast Guard regulations. The boat has a restroom onboard and air conditioning for the hot summer days. Transportation from your hotel can be provided in our fully restored 1970 VW bus.

Ship of Fools

This is the perfect boat for larger parties. The boat can accommodate up to 18 guests with plenty of space to move around. It is stable and is very suited for bachelorette parties and other larger outings. The boat is centrally located at the Charleston City Marina on the Megadock walkway. This boat had a complete makeover in 2018 and was designed for parties in mind. It has a big swim platform and boarding ladder for easy water access. Stop and take a swim in the warm Charleston water to cool off for even for just a bit! We also have a large cooler with ice on board to keep all your refreshments cold. We even have a bathroom on board when nature calls.

Captain Dave holds a 100 ton USCG master license for over 20 years. He also teaches boat handling and close quarter maneuvering.

He is both a NASBLA and Safe Boating Council certified instructor for both in classroom and on the water training. Safety and comfort is his first priority. If you are looking for a boat rental in Charleston look no further!
