Charleston County teenager reported missing, authorities are asking for public’s help in locating him, report

Charleston County, South Carolina – Charleston County Sheriff’s Office deputies are asking for public’s help in locating a 13-year-old boy who has been reported missing.

According to them, the teenager, whose real name is Angel Canup, goes by the name Echo. No foul play is suspected.

The case was reported on Thursday in the afternoon hours around 6 p.m. Teenager’s parents believe that the teenager left the area after getting off a school bus earlier in the afternoon.

Summerville residents confirmed there has been increased law enforcement presence in the area since the boy was reported missing. Deputies were initially investigating the area near East Colpat Street in Lincolnville.

The sheriff’s office said the search effort included K-9 units and CCSO’s helicopter.

“Angel could be with another juvenile,” the sheriff’s office said. “Anyone with information can call dispatch at 843-743-7200.”
