Charleston Police seek information on hit-and-run on Folly Road that injured pedestrian

Charleston, South Carolina – The Charleston Police Department is seeking information from a hit-and-run that injured a pedestrian on Wednesday night.

Officers say the incident occurred near 1291 Folly Road near the intersection of Fort Johnson Road around 9:40 p.m.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries, officials say, and had to be transported to a nearby hospital.

The driver fled the scene, heading towards Folly Beach.

Officers described the car as a black sedan, possibly 2010 or newer model. It’s expected to have front, passenger-side damage and possibly a broken windshield.
