Dead man found in Sumter County golf course, identity released

Sumter County, South Carolina – The identity of the dead man found on golf course in Sumter County on Wednesday has been released.

According to police, the man was identified as 40-year-old Amastaeio Balerio Garcia. He was found on the Quixote Club golf course around 5 p.m.

Fire Department crews and police officers believe that the cart Garcia was driving for some reason went in the water. Garcia was sub-contractor at the golf course.

The investigation about the incident is still open. More information is expected in the upcoming period.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
