Dorchester County wood processing company to invest more than $10 million in expanding operations, at least 25 jobs to be created

Dorchester County, South Carolina – Wood processing company located in Dorchester County announced they plan to expand their operations in the area which will provide more than 20 new job positions.

According to the announcement, BID Group plans to invest $10.6 million in expanding the company’s operations which is expected to create at least 25 new job positions.

The company plans to use part of the investment to increase the size of the current warehouse in St. George and to buy a new milling machine. The new machine is expected to increase the company’s manufacturing capability.

The company is expected to start the investment very soon, a process that is expected to be completely finished by the third quarter of 2023.
