Driver arrested after officer found weed, mushrooms, weapons in pickup in Florence County, report

Florence County, South Carolina – Total of 57 pounds of marijuana and other drugs and weapons were found in a white pickup in Florence County.

According to the police report, a regular traffic stop turned into drug bust on Tuesday. The white pickup was stopped for moving violation when officer noticed strong marijuana odor.

That was enough for the officer to search the truck and find marijuana, mushrooms, handgun and a shotgun.

The driver, 44-year-old Bradley Bobbitt of Florence, was arrested and charged with with trafficking in marijuana, possession with intent to distribute other substances (mushrooms), and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Bobbitt is in custody pending a bond hearing.
