Early Friday morning fatal crash in Dillon County, one dead and one injured

Dillon County, South Carolina – Early Friday morning fatal crash in Dillon County results with one dead and one injured.

According to reports, the accident took place around 2:40 a.m. near mile marker 183 in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95.

The accident happened when the driver lost control over the vehicle. The car, which was southbound on the highway, went off the left side of the road and the driver overcorrected it. Then he went to the right side of the road hitting several trees.

The driver, who was wearing seatbelt, sustained heavy injuries and was transferred to hospital for treatment. The passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The identity of the driver and the passenger were not revealed.
