Fatal early morning crash in Myrtle Beach, Motorcyclist dies

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – Friday morning crash in Myrtle Beach results with one dead, police say. The investigation about the crash is still undergoing.

According to the report, the accident occurred around 1 a.m. on U.S. 17 North near Palmetto Pointe Boulevard.

For some reason a Harley-Davidson ran off the road to the left and hit a median. Due to the crash, the bike and driver both ended up on the road.

Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was then hit by a Volvo and died on the scene. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the Volvo was wearing a seatbelt when he hit the man.

The identity of the motorcyclist remains unknown at this time. We expect more information during the day.

The investigation is still open. We will update the story as soon as more details are released.
