Father knew everything and did nothing to stop her: Woman abuses and tortures 16-year-old stepson to death

Man and woman are arrested and charged after a 16-year-old boy was found dead in their house. The police said the woman abused, tortured and then killed her stepson while the father was watching and knew everything, but did nothing to stop her and save his son’s live.

The father was identified by police as G. Almaraz, while the woman was identified as J. Grajeda and they were both arrested in their home in California where police found the dead body of the 16-year-old.

First responders arrived at the scene following a 911 call in regards of a boy that needed CPR. However, when emergency crews initially checked on the boy, he was not breathing and they immediately transferred him to the nearest hospital for treatment. The boy was pronounced dead shortly after arrival to hospital.

Police didn’t reveal the exact reason for the death, but they informed the public the boy was abused and tortured for at least four months prior to his death. Authorities couldn’t believe the fact that the father knew everything on what was happening with the son. According to them, he was even present when the stepmother abused his child and he did absolutely nothing in stopping her and requesting proper medical assistance.

When officers entered their home, they found four more children living with the family. All of them were younger, aged from 1-13 years. They didn’t have visible injuries, but were taken in hospital and in-depth examination was performed on them. Luckily, not a single one of them was suffering any physical or mental injuries. All four children were taken into protective custody and turned over to the Department of Children and Family Services.

The mother has been charged with torture, child abuse resulting in death, and three counts of child abuse. The bail for Grajeda was set at $2 million.

The father was charged with one count of felony child abuse. He was released on his recognizance with electronic monitoring.

People in the neighborhood are devasted of the incident and they say they couldn’t believe what really happened as the couple were acting like any other normal family. The neighbors added that the couple and their children were a quite family and not a single incident has ever occurred.
