Food giveaway events to take place in Summerville and North Charleston on Tuesday

The food giveaway events in the Lowcountry continue to take place in an effort to help those in need.

The next giveaway event is set to take place on Tuesday in Summerville and North Charleston.

According to the Community Resource Centers which are the organizers of the events, groceries and hygiene products will be given to families severely affected by being quarantined.

Unlike the first-come first-served basis, those who want to pickup the packages will now have to call at least two hours before they go to pickup the groceries and hygiene packages. The transport should be organized by the recipients.

The North Charleston event will be held at 3947 Whipper Barony Lane.

The Summerville event will be held at 116 W 2nd N Street.

Both locations are the locations where the Community Resource Centers are based.

Those looking to receive food or hygiene products should call 843-499-9498 at least two hours before going to either of the Community Resource Center’s locations.
