Georgetown chemical plant experiences hazardous situation, crews responded to the scene

Georgetown County, South Carolina – Chemical plant in Georgetown County experienced hazardous situation Saturday morning.

Crews immediately responded to the scene at 3V Chemical.

Midway Fire Rescue, EMS and Georgetown County Fire Department crews, all responded to the scene.

According to the report, they sent hazmat personnel, equipment and vehicles to provide assistance.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Public is advised to avoid the area if possible until more information is available.
