Horry County volunteer firefighter is the victim in motorcycle crash

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. – The victim in motorcycle crash that happened on Holmestown Road near Highway 707 was volunteer Horry County Fire Rescue.

Horry County Fire Rescue officials said they are heartbroken with the loss of their colleague and brother after announcement following the death of Timothy Hurney.

Timothy, a 20-year-old young man, passed away in Saturday after sustaining injuries in a crash.

“Please keep his fire/rescue brothers and sisters, friends and family in your thoughts during this difficult time.”

Services are being planned by the family.

The crash happened when Timothy hit a vehicle trying to turn left in the passenger side. He was wearing helmet at the time of the accident.
