Illegal gambling operation in Florence County, five people plead guilty

Florence County, S. C. – Five people are charged in illegal gambling operation in Florence County.

Thyrone Eaddy, Kenneth Moore, George Dollard, Leroy Barbour and Cliff Cantey all pleaded guilty to the count of operation of an illegal gambling business in federal court on Feb. 18.

Former deputy Timothy Dane Keefe and Former Florence County Lt. Mark Fuleihan are also charged.

Others charged in the gambling operation include Sheryl Kirby and Dale Smith.

The last four asked the court to continue their cases until the next court term.

The former Florence County Lt. Fuleihan is charged because he allegedly accepted bribes allowing other people run the illegal operations. As confirmed, they ran the gambling operations without the worry of law enforcement interference.

The agreement was that Fuleihan would let them know when a law enforcement operations will be taken in the town.
