In-person classes for all South Carolina schools, SC Senate passed the proposal

Charleston, South Carolina – Starting from April 12th, all South Carolina schools are obligated to offer five days in-person classes.

This comes after the South Carolina Senate has unanimously passed a proposal.

According to the announcement, the proposal that passed Wednesday require schools to provide the same for next school year too.

Districts are now not allowed to make teachers give instruction both virtually and in person. They can only make this if there are “extreme and unavoidable circumstances”, but in this case teachers will be paid more.

Almost all traditional school districts are back to five days in-person classes. It’s expected all districts to follow the resolution and get everything done by the April deadline.
