South Carolina – DHEC announced that South Carolina added less than 400 news cases on Tuesday, according to the daily Covid-19 report.
The state added a total of 382 of new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, 276 confirmed through PCR tests and another 106 detected through rapid tests.
Additionally, South Carolina added two more deaths in the daily Covid-19 reported. Both of the deaths are considered as confirmed.
Since the start of the pandemic, South Carolina added a total of 904,689 COVID-19 cases.
A total of 724,601 cases were detected using PCR tests and 180,088 detected with rapid tests since March 2020 when the pandemic started.
The total number of Covid-19 related deaths reached a total of 13,898.
That total includes 12,016 deaths classified as “confirmed” and an additional 1,882 classified as “probable.”
The positivity rate among all tests conducted was 4.3% on Tuesday. Tuesday’s results are from the 15,243 tests taken on Sunday, presented with two-day dely.
Since the pandemic began, the state has administered more than 12 million COVID tests.
