Man wanted for murder arrested in North Charleston on Thursday, police

North Charleston, South Carolina – The man wanted for murder that took place earlier this month was arrested on Thursday police confirm.

According to reports, the 42-year-old Marco Arthur Simpson was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Simpson was wanted by the police for the murder of 44-year-old Lakisha Dennis that took place to Charleston Inn and Suites, 3680 Dorchester Rd. on May 5th.

The woman was suffering life-threatening injuries of a gunshot when officers arrived at the scene. She was transferred to hospital for treatment where she later died.

Simpson was located by ILP and the US Marshal Task Force.
