Miles long line in Myrtle Beach, thousands wait to get COVID-19 vaccine voucher

Myrtle Beach, S. C. – Thousands of people were waiting in miles long line in Myrtle Beach to get COVID-19 vaccine voucher.

Even though the supply is low in every state, the providers are really pushing hard to get the vaccine as soon as possible to those who need the most.

The photo taken in Myrtle Beach in Saturday shows how desperate some people are the get the first shot. Every one of them is hoping to get to their normal lives as soon as possible.

“I’m 76 years old so I know I’m susceptible,” said Mickey Lienau who received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

He and thousands of others above 70 were waiting in the line without guarantee they will get the shot.

“I’m happy having the chance to get the vaccine, I’m thankful.” Mickey Lienau added.

Some people were waiting in the line from 6 a.m. and got the vaccine after 6 hours.

The next vaccination event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13.
