New week, new higher gas prices in South Carolina – the trend continues

Charleston, South Carolina – The trend with gas prices continues this week in South Carolina.

According to the latest survey, the average gas price in South Carolina for the past week is $2.61.

Current price is 34 cents higher compared to last month and 63.2 cents higher compared to last year.

The price in the past week rose for almost 10 cents on average and is expected to continue on a short term. The reason for higher prices is growing demand.

Nationally, drivers are paying an average of $2.86 per gallon, six cents more than the same time last week. The national average is up 33.2 cents from a month ago and 64 cents from a year ago.
