The price in the past week rose for almost 10 cents on average and is expected to continue on a short term. The reason for higher prices is growing demand.
Nationally, drivers are paying an average of $2.86 per gallon, six cents more than the same time last week. The national average is up 33.2 cents from a month ago and 64 cents from a year ago.
