One arrested connected to the shooting at King Street last week

Charleston, S. C. – One man is arrested connected to the shooting last week at King Street bar.

The shooting took place on Friday night, February 5.

Brandon Jarell Bailey, 29-year-old from Charleston, was arrested by the officers from Charleston Police Department, North Charleston Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service.

Arrested man was part of the group consisted of four. They became upset when they were told to leave the premises, a bar, at the closing time. The were arguing with the security in front of the bar.

As one coworker tried to defuse the situation, Bailey pulled out a handgun and fired at the staff before running away, officials said.

Luckily, the man suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his left leg. He was transported to nearest hospital for treatment and was released the next day.

Bailey is charged with two counts of attempted murder, four counts of assault and battery in first degree, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and unlawful carry of a handgun.

The investigation is ongoing and the police are looking for the other people involved.
