One injured and one dead is the result of a shooting in North Charleston

Charleston, S. C. – One dead and one injured is the result of shooting that happened in North Charleston this Friday afternoon.

Ashley Allen Mount, 29-year-old, was charged with both murder and possession of a weapon.

According to the reports, the shooting took place from 3.30-4.00 pm.

The police responded to a 911 call at 9525 Highway 78 in North Charleston. When the police arrived on the scene, they found a wounded man laying on the ground. Shortly after they sent the body the nearest hospital, unfortunately he later succumbed to his injuries.

There was another person involved in the incident. A man was brought to the same hospital with gunshot wounds by two other people. The investigation has shown that this man was also shot during the same shooting.

The victim was later identified as Jaylyn Kinlock Williams, a 22-year-old male from North Charleston.

The investigation is still active.
