One man is arrested connected to the Friday fatal shooting in Goose Creek

Charleston, South Carolina – Police arrested one suspect connected to the Friday fatal shooting in Goose Creek.

The shooting took place Friday afternoon at Marrington Village on Harbour View Drive in Goose Creek. One person was killed.

Samvon Beaton, 20-year-old, was arrested shortly after the incident.

When first responders arrived on the scene, they found one male victim on the ground with gunshot wounds. While the crews were on the scene, Beaton went to hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound.

The investigation later showed that Beaton was the one involved in the shooting. According to the police, Beaton and the injured man met for a drug deal.

Beaton was arrested and charged.
