Percent positive rises to 21.6% among SC’s latest coronavirus tests

South Carolina – South Carolina’s latest round of COVID-19 tests yielded a percent positive of 21.6 percent.

On Wednesday, DHEC announced the high percentage of positives among 7,480 new individual test results.

The Palmetto State added 1,612 confirmed cases and 35 more confirmed deaths to its totals.

Since the coronavirus pandemic began, South Carolina has had 206,653 confirmed cases and 4,126 confirmed deaths.

Greenville County once again had the biggest jump in new cases, tacking on 284.
