Second shooting incident in three days in the same block in West Ashley results with two people shot and injured

Sunday night shooting incident in West Ashley results with two people shot and injured, police say.

According to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, while two men were sitting on the front porch in the 800 block of Elsey Drive around 10 p.m. Sunday, a person in a vehicle fired shots at the home and shot both of them.

Luckily, their injuries were not serious and they were transferred to hospital for additional treatment.

The shooter also hit another home, but no one was hurt.

This is the second shooting incident in the same block in West Ashley in just three days.

As we already reported, a shooting incident that occurred on Friday resulted with one person shot in the leg and transferred to hospital.

It remains unclear if the two shooting incidents are connected.

There is ongoing investigation about the incident that should identify the shooting suspects.

The Friday shooting incident is also being investigated, but no progress is made so far.

More information for both incidents are expected in the upcoming period.
