Single-engine plane made emergency landing and landed hard in a field on Edisto Island, no injuries reported so far

Edisto Island, South Carolina – Small single-engine place made emergency landing on Edisto Island Tuesday afternoon, local authorities confirmed.

According to Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at the scene sometime before 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, St. Paul’s Fire District’s officials confirmed the emergency landing of the single-engine aircraft that went down behind King’s Farm Market along Highway 174.

When deputies and fire crews arrived at the scene, they found out that the plane had landed hard in a field. Luckily, no injuries were reported.

There is ongoing investigation conducted by the FAA that should reveal the reason for the crash.
