South Carolina added more than 14,000 new Covid-19 cases in Monday’s report, data gathered last Thursday to Saturday

Charleston, South Carolina – South Carolina added more than 14,000 new Covid-19 cases, data showing the number of cases from last Thursday to last Saturday.

According to DHEC’s report issued on Monday, the Palmetto State added a total of 14,011 cases which is sharp drop compared to last weekend’s three-day report when 25,806 cases were added for three days.

DHEC said that 10,315 cases are considered as confirmed, while 3,696 of the total number of cases are considered as probable.

In the same report, 141 Covid-19 related deaths were added which is 35% less compared to last weekend’s three-day report when South Carolina added 217 Covid-19 related deaths.

Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of Covid-19 cases reached 1,421,539cases (1,116,964 confirmed and 304,575 probable).

The total number of deaths is 15,929 (13,626 confirmed and 2,303 probable).
