South Carolina surpasses 200,000 total cases after DHEC reports nearly 1,800 on Saturday

South Carolina eclipsed over 200,000 new cases after the state recorded nearly 1,800 new cases on Saturday.

It’s the second straight day the state had more than 1,700 new cases of the virus.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control reported 1,797 confirmed cases, zero probable cases, zero confirmed deaths and zero probable deaths.

This brings the total to 201,354 cases, 13,557 probable cases, and the deaths remain at 4,043 confirmed deaths and 303 probable deaths.

South Carolina also continued its streak of every day in November recording over 10 percent positive, posting 12.9 percent positive with 13,915 individual tests reported, not including antibody tests.
