Stimulus check argument goes wrong man attacks girlfriend, sets fire

SPARTANBURG, South Carolina – A man was arrested and taken into custody after attacking his girlfriend at least two times and setting several fires.

According to the officials, the man was angry because the government took his $600 stimulus check to pay back child support.

Michael Bradford, 36-year-old from Spartanburg, has been charged with three counts of arson, malicious destruction of property and attempted murder.

The magistrate judge denied a bond on Thursday.

It was unknown if Michael had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
