Sumter County crash results with one motorcycle driver dead, report

Sumter County, S. C. – Crash is Sumter County was fatal for one motorcycle rider police say.

According to their reports, the crash took place on Sunday on U.S. 15 near Lewis Road just before 11 a. m.

The crash happened between the motorcycle and a vehicle. The 1986 Harley-Davidson was traveling north along with a 2011 Infinity when the motorcyclist made an unlawful lane change and hit into the vehicle.

As a result of the hit, the motorcycle left the road on the side and the driver suffered heavy injuries of which he later died.

The motorcycle driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, troopers added.
