Suspect arrested believed to be involved in a fatal shooting in North Charleston, police

North Charleston, SC – The 25-year-old Dartez Lamart Ferguson Jr was arrested believed to be responsible for a fatal shooting that left one dead in North Charleston convenience store.

According to the North Charleston Police Department, the suspect is charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

The fatal shooting took place on November 8 at the A1 Grocery store on 4104 Dorchester Road.

The incident report indicates that the victim that was shot at the scene was suffering serious gunshot wounds and was left in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

North Charleston Police Department officials said they believe that Ferguson was the one who took the shooting suspect and drove it from the scene the fatal day.

Ferguson was located, arrested and charged with accessory after the fact of murder and possession of a handgun by persons unlawful.
