The plane that crashed last month is South Carolina hit a pine tree before crashing through a forested area, initial investigation shows

The results of the initial investigation for the plane that crashed last month in Walterboro show that the plane hit a pine tree before crashing through a forested area.

As we already reported last month, the plane crash took place on October 22 in Walterboro when the pilot attempted to stop for fuel at an airport in Walterboro, South Carolina.

The plane was flying from Fredericksburg, Virginia and was headed to Miami.

There were two people in the small plane, the pilot and his daughter. As a result of the crash, the pilot suffered serious injuries while his daughter died in the crash.

Just when the pilot was preparing for the fuel stop landing, he declared an emergency due to a “lagging engine.”

Wednesday’s federal report notes the plane then hit a pine tree before crashing through a forested area and catching on fire.

The U.S. Air Force reported the pilot is a commander with the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.

The investigation about the plane crash continues, once more details are available, we will update the case.
