Thursday morning crash along I-526 near Wando Bridge, traffic delays reported in the area

Mount Pleasant, South Carolina – Early Thursday morning crash along I-526 near Wando Bridge caused traffic delays in the area.

According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), one lane on the eastbound side of the interstate was closed due to the collision which was initially reported to the local authorities around 7:40 a.m.

Shortly after the incident, one lane on the westbound side was closed as well, but it was later reopened.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.

As of now, no additional details about the number of vehicles involved in the accident or injuries are available.
