Tow truck and a vehicle collision, one injured and one dead

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S. C. – Monday night crash between two vehicles results with one dead and one injured.

According to police, the crash took place Monday night around 10 p.m. at the US Hwy 17 and the William A. Campbell Rd. intersection.

Traveling West on William A. Campbell Rd. a 2003 Chevrolet Impala ignored a stop sign and was hit by a tow truck traveling South on US Hwy 17.

The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead right after the first responders arrived on the scene. The tow truck driver sustained minor injuries.

There is ongoing investigation about the incident and more information is expected during the day or tomorrow.
