Tuesday night crash with ATV on Johns Island fatal for the driver, the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash

Johns Island, S.C. – One person is dead as a result of the Tuesday night ATV crash on Johns Island, police say.

According to the incident report, Charleston County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched at the scene of 1300 Block of Cooke Drive around 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to them, ATV driver crashed into a parked gooseneck trailer.

The first responders said no other vehicles were involved in the collision.

The driver of the ATV suffered injuries and was transferred to hospital for treatment.

Shortly after the driver was admitted in hospital, he was pronounced dead as a result of the heavy injuries.

The identity of the driver was not immediately released by the authorities.

The Traffic Bureau is investigating the case and more details are expected on Wednesday.
