Tuesday night shooting incident in Berkeley County, one person hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds, investigation

Berkeley County, South Carolina – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that took place on Tuesday night, officials with the sheriff office confirmed.

According to them, the investigation was started after a victim showed up at a hospital with several gunshot wounds. The authorities said the victim was admitted for treatment at the Brighton Park Emergency Room on 1626 N. Main St.

Officials with the sheriff office said they are were investigating the actual crime scene, but didn’t confirm where the shooting took place.

The victim was later transferred to Trident Hospital for further treatment.

The 911 call from the hospital was made just after 9 p.m.
