Two separate accidents close I-26, one lane later opened

Charleston, S. C. – I-26 was closed for more than 30 minutes near the Cosgrove Avenue exit on Thursday night as a result of two separate accidents on the same spot.

The authorities said they received the first call around 9 pm.

When they arrived on the scene, few cars were involved in the accidents. According to the reports, at least 5 cars had to be towed from the scene.

Police also confirm that at least one person was transferred to hospital for treatment.

The condition of the others involved in the accident remains unknown.
