Upward trend in gas prices continues in South Carolina

South Carolina – The average price of a gallon of gas in South Carolina has just surpassed $4.50, and this upward trend is expected to continue.

According to a survey conducted by GasBuddy at more than 3,000 gas stations in the state, South Carolina saw a rise of 13.7 cents a gallon, pushing the average price of a gallon of gas in the state up to $4.57. This represents a 42.1 cent increase over the previous month and a $1.80 increase over last year’s price.

The cheapest gas at a station in South Carolina is $3.65 per gallon, while the most expensive is $5.09 per gallon, which represents a difference of $1.44 per gallon.

The national average also maintained its upward trend, increasing by 15.7 cents per gallon and bringing the national average up to $5.01, which is 57.1 cents more than it was a month ago and $1.94 higher than it was a year ago.
