North Charleston, South Carolina – North Charleston fire crews responded to a fire at the early morning hours on Wednesday near Northwoods, the local fire department officials confirmed.

According to the incident report, multiple crews responded to the fire that occurred to the O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar near Northwoods Mall. The fire crews that responded at the scene confirmed that the restaurant’s kitchen was caught in flames.

Multiple fire trucks were dispatched at the scene around 5:45 a.m.

At the time of the incident, no one was inside and no injuries were reported. Shortly after the fire crews’ arrival, the fire was extinguished.

This is the restaurant’s announcement about the incident:

A fire broke out early this morning at the O’Charley’s located at 2150 Northwood Boulevard in North Charleston, SC. We are pleased to report that no one was in the building at the time and the fire has since been extinguished. We are deeply grateful to the firefighters who responded so quickly.

Our North Charleston location will be closed temporarily until we can make any repairs necessary and ensure the restaurant meets our rigorous standards for reopening. That said, at this time, it appears there was no major damage and the fire was isolated to one part of our kitchen so we hope to be back serving our customers soon.

The investigation should reveal what led to the fire.

Once more details are available, we will update the case.
