Wednesday night shooting in McClellanville leaves one injured, report

McClellanville, South Carolina – One injured is the result of the Wednesday night shooting in McClellanville police say.

According to them, the incident took place around 10:40 p.m. to the 1600 block of River Road.

Police found the victim at the scene who was shot at his leg. EMS transferred the man to hospital for treatment. EMS said the man is in stable condition as he suffered non-life- threatening injury.

“The victim’s vehicle was also damaged by gunfire,” Capt. Roger Antonio said.

The victim said someone opened fire from a driving vehicle next to his car. He was unable to identify the shooter(s).

The investigation is active and we will update the case once more information is available.
