‘You white bi**h’: Disabled army veteran gets her nose bloodied in what seems to be a racial attack on a supermarket parking lot

Broken and bloodied nose is the result of what seems to be a racial attack in front of a supermarket parking lot on Mother’s Day. The police are investigating the case where the victim was a disabled army veteran, Pamela Ahlstedt-Brown.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on the parking lot in front of the Kroger supermarket in Louisville, Kentucky. When she was done with the shopping, Brown headed her car that was parked on a handicapped spot near the store entrance. She noticed another vehicle was blocking her when she tried to move the vehicle.

“I get out, and I say, ‘Do you guys need any help?’ and she said, ‘F— you, you white b—-,’” Ahlstedt-Brown said about the attack against her. “‘Hold on, you don’t even know me,’ I said, ‘That’s fine. If you don’t need anything, that’s fine. I’ll get back in the car.’”

Brown said there were 4 black women in the other car, probably Dodge Challenger or Charger. That the moment when the incident escalated for no apparent reason and of the woman threw a cup at her and attacked her.

“I mean, they were beating me, and I was in a fetal position, covering my face, making sure they didn’t get my eyes,” she said.

Luckily, other store clients who were near her car immediately reacted and broke up the fight.

“It’s hard for us because we all feel like, well, what if we would have been there? It makes you feel helpless,” Ahlstedt-Brown’s husband, Edward, explained. “It was terrible for them and for me to have their mom come home in that condition.”

Even though her husband is black and her kids are biracial, Brown thinks that race may have played a role in the incident. She also added that she still has nightmares every night since the incident occurred.

Police said they are still investigating the case. They didn’t provide information if they were able to identify and locate the attackers. Police spokesperson said: “A hate crime is an enhancement, in this case, it’s an assault is where we are at at this time. The courts will eventually decide that.”
