Another food distribution event to be hosted on Johns Island on Wednesday for those in need, starting at 1 p.m.

Johns Island – Organizers continue with hosting food distribution events in the Charleston area with the next event to take place on Wednesday.

According to the recent report, the Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church is holding a drive through food distribution in an effort to help those in need who can’t afford of have financial difficulties in these hard pandemic times.

The organizers said that the event will start at 1 p.m. and will last until they have supplies on site.

The food distribution event will be located at 670 Bear Swamp Road in the Red Top section of Johns Island.

Because of the recent Covid-19 situation, those who will come at the event are asked to stay at their cars and wear masks.

Since this is a drive-thru event, volunteers will hand boxes with food to the drivers.

Everyone in need is welcome to come at the event.
