Man arrested and charged for the death of Charleston taxi driver earlier this month

Charleston, S. C. – A man was arrested and charged for the death of the Charleston taxi driver earlier this month.

Joshua Smalls is the name of the suspect for killing the 61-year-old taxi driver Wilson “Billy” Hodge Jr., the police confirm on Sunday.

The victim was found in his parked taxi cab along Jackwood Court in West Ashley on Feb. 5. Investigators had suspected foul play and announced the death as a homicide.

The sheriff’s office continues to investigate.
