Man kills girlfriend and her two children with 17 shots, said to police ‘I killed the whole family to save them’

T. Jones, 26-year-old, was arrested and charged with three counts of second-degree intentional murder for killing his girlfriend D. Wallace and her two little children. Before he succumbed to his injuries, the little boy told the police who is responsible for the shooting.

The mother and her two children aged 14 and 11, were found dead in their home in Minnesota, the police confirm.

Police officers responded to a 911 call for a shooting and when they arrived on the scene they found the mother and the daughter dead. The 11-year-old boy was still alive and transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment.

The boy was in critical condition, but was able to identify the shooter. When police asked him if he could remember anything about the shooting, she shortly answered “it was him, James, my mother’s boyfriend.” Shortly after, the boy died.

The police report confirms that a total of 17 shots were fired. The mother was shot twice, her son five times, the little girl was shot ten times.

Few days after the shooting, James was arrested and charged with three counts of second-degree intentional murder.

Six months before the fatal accident, the family moved from Mississippi in search of new, better life.

“She started to work, she moved into her own place, and began looking into schools,” family members later said. “She had dreams of becoming a lawyer, and helping minorities in need. She was beautiful, outgoing, full of life that wanted the best for her children. Like any other mother, she loved her children with her whole heart.”

After the arrested, the police started questioning James. On the question why he did it, he only said ‘I killed the whole family to save them.’

James faces lifetime sentence.
