North Charleston, South Carolina – North Charleston city leaders are considering to offer reward program for city workers who have complied with the vaccine mandate announced earlier this year.

The reward program is expected to be discussed Thursday night.

The one that is expected to propose the program to the city council is the mayor himself. According to him, all North Charleston city workers that complied with the vaccine mandate the city announced earlier this year should be rewarded.

The monetary amount of that award will be decided upon during Thursday’s meeting.

According to the latest data provided by the city of North Charleston, nearly 80% of the North Charleston’s employees were fully vaccinated by the end of November. As of December 8th, 100% of the city’s sanitation workers have received their coronavirus vaccination.
