One person injured in Saturday night structure fire in N. Charleston; four displaced to receive assistance from the American Red Cross

North Charleston, South Carolina – Saturday night structure fire in North Charleston displaced four people, and one person sustained injuries.

North Charleston Fire Department crews responded to the scene at Cumberland Way near the Windsor Hill Plantation area just before 10 p.m.

As soon as the fire crews arrived at the scene, they started extinguishing the fire. Shortly after, the fire was already under control and eventually completely extinguished.

One person sustained injuries and was transferred to a local hospital for treatment. No additional information was given about the victim’s health condition or about the extent of the injuries. More details are expected starting Monday.

As a result of the fire, four people were displaced. The American Red Cross confirmed they will provide assistance for these people.

Fire crews were not able to immediately determine the cause of the fire. There is ongoing investigation that should reveal what led to the incident and more details are expected starting Monday next week.
