Single vehicle crash in Hampton County results with one dead

Hampton, South Carolina – Monday night single vehicle wreck results with one dead in Hampton County.

According to police reports, for still unknown reasons a car traveling northbound on US 601 near Ashley Circle ran off the road and struck a tree, around 7:40 p.m.

The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was found dead at the scene as a result of the injuries. At the time of the wreck, the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

There is ongoing investigation about the crash. We will update the story with more details when available.
