Columbia, South Carolina – The health officials confirm that more than 1 million people already started the vaccination process in South Carolina.
As of March 19th, the latest data shows 1,045,236 residents statewide have now received at least one dose of the vaccine, which is more than 25% of South Carolina residents.

As we already know, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses, while the latest FDA approved -Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires only one dose.
According to the distribution plan, South Carolina is currently in phase 1B, which makes eligible everyone 55 and older for vaccination.
